Are you seeing the following error when trying to connect your Instagram account:

{"error_type": "OAuthException", "code": 400, "error_message": "Your facebook account's off-Facebook activty in turned off."}

This error means you may have disabled 'off-Facebook Activity'. While this feature allows you to control what website data is tracked by Facebook, it can also prevent other platforms you're integrated with from accessing the data needed to connect to your accounts.

To get rid of the error:

  • Log in to your account on the Facebook site and then click on the down arrow from the top right of the screen.

  • Select Settings & Privacy and click on the Settings option.

  • Make sure the Your Facebook Information option in the left sidebar is selected:

  • Select the Off-Facebook Activity option.

  • You'll now see a pop-up screen from where you need to select the Manage future activity option.

  • Now, ensure the Connect future activity is switched on.

It is very important that all Facebook profiles connected with your Facebook Page(s) have this settings turned on. So if your page has multiple admin's all of them HAS to have this enabled.

Still not able to connect your account? Let us know and we'll be happy to help.
