Adding your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter widget to your HTMLy website is easy. Follow these steps to create your widget.

Once you've created your widget, follow the appropriate steps below to add it to your website.

Custom HTML is added as normal text in HTMLy and can be added wherever it suits you. In this tutorial we will run through 2 ways of adding your widget, i.e.

  • To a blog post

  • To a Static Page

A. Adding your widget to a HTMLy blog post

  1. Log in to your HTMLy website. The HTMLy admin page will now be displayed.

  2. Click on Add Content. This will display a list of content that you can add to your HTMLy website.

  3. For this part of our tutorial, click on the Regular post option. The Add content input screen will appear.

    • The top part is for entering the title, category, a tag and a Meta description.

You will notice that the Title, Category and the Tag entries are compulsary. If you haven’t set up any categories, just leave it as Uncategorized.

    • The bottom part is for adding any other content to the blog post, in our case we will add our snippet here. It also provides a preview screen where you can see what the post will look like more or less on your live website.

  4. Click on Publish to publish the post to your website. It will now be displayed as follows on your site.

  5. In the above we added the Grid display widget to a Blog post. The process for adding your Slideshow display widget is exactly the same. It will be displayed as follows.

  6. If you click on any of the images in the grid or the slideshow, it will open up in a Lightbox display.
